Born in 1913, in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshore, he studied at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art under Harry Watson and later taught painting at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London. Codner exhibited prodigously throughout his career, showung at RWA of which he was an acadamician and also at the Royal Acadamy and ROI. He had solo exhibitions at many galleries particularly in London and the west of England. He worked for many years at his studio in Stokenham, Devon. back |
